Anthropic is legit. They’re the fastest growing company in history and will be profitable soon unlike Open AI. My concern is upside for retail investors will be quite limited if they IPO at $2B+. We’ve seen the past few years every company at that level or higher stagnating for a while or even correcting sharply. All this to say, Anthropic might be an amazing business but a bad investment.

Amazon lost a few billion in the ramp up to aws, building facilities that cost less per user as the user base grows, anthropic is on track to burn over 100B on its way to a product that has no economy of scale that they can never stop training. There is no comparison to Amazon or Uber or any other industry here.
