AST SpaceMobile signed agreements with three Brazilian carriers — Unifique, Brisanet and Iez — to bring satellite broadband directly to regular smartphones using their 700 MHz spectrum. The carriers would also fund the ground gateways, allowing AST to expand through existing infrastructure.
