AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile push FCC to drop 2.5 GHz and 3.45 GHz from satellite-to-phone spectrum plan

AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, through their trade group CTIA, are pushing the FCC to drop the 2.5 GHz and 3.45 GHz bands from its draft satellite-to-device spectrum plan, arguing the move would protect terrestrial 5G networks and spectrum rights. CTIA met all three FCC commissioners' offices on Oct. 20 and sent the FCC a letter on Oct. 22 urging the bands' exclusion.
