Binance hack amount reportedly exceeds $5.6B, ~$3B frozen by Tether, Circle and Ripple; BinanceUS unaffected

The amount of funds taken in the Binance hack reportedly exceeds $5.6 billion, making it the largest hack in crypto history. Nearly half of the stolen funds had a freeze button; Tether, Circle and Ripple froze roughly $3 billion within hours. The other half (BTC, ETH, TRX) has no issuer to freeze and is mostly gone. BinanceUS is not affected. Binance is investigating.
