A wallet funded through Tornado Cash drained Binance's hot wallet in one transaction, taking 167,464 ETH (~$384M) and 1.6B USDT. On-chain analysis indicates attackers exploited Ethereum's EIP-7702, using signed authorizations to install malicious code without private keys. Binance's wallet key reportedly remained functional, and the exchange fought back in real time, recovering $823M in USDC. Binance has not confirmed.
