CHAR Technologies receives final electrical approval for Thorold facility, plans kiln startup

CHAR Technologies received final electrical approval from the Electrical Safety Authority for its Thorold Renewable Energy Facility, a milestone allowing startup of its Phase 1 high-temperature pyrolysis kiln. The company plans to fire and operate the kiln burners during the week of October 22, 2026, with final TSSA sign-off scheduled the following week.
