Continental Resources, GeoPark and PCR win Vaca Muerta oil block tender in Neuquén, with 8 of 10 areas awarded

The Neuquén province awarded 8 of 10 oil blocks in Vaca Muerta in a tender in which 10 companies made 20 offers. Continental Resources, Colombia's GeoPark and Argentina's PCR were the main winners, with PCR taking 3 blocks and GeoPark offering the largest bonus. The awards total US$410.8m: US$180.7m in bonuses to the province and US$230.1m in exploratory investment, with 11 wells to be drilled.
