EA to shut down BioWare, canceling next Mass Effect, in ~400-job cut

EA confirmed it will shut down BioWare, the studio behind 'Mass Effect' and 'Dragon Age', halting initial development of the next Mass Effect game. The franchise itself was not canceled. About 400 jobs, roughly 3% of EA's workforce, are affected, including close to 50 at BioWare.
