EIA raises 2026 Brent crude forecast to $87/barrel on Strait of Hormuz constraints

The U.S. Energy Information Administration raised its 2026 Brent crude forecast to $87 per barrel from $82 and lifted its U.S. gasoline estimate to $3.78 per gallon, citing persistent Strait of Hormuz constraints expected to limit oil flows through August. The EIA also raised its U.S. crude output forecast to 13.80 million bpd this year and 14.15 million bpd next year.
