Ethereum devs propose EIP to burn staking rewards above 50% threshold
Ethereum developers have introduced a new EIP that would gradually burn staking rewards once the staking ratio approaches 50%, with an 18-month transition period to curb inflation. Aave founder Stani Kulechov has publicly opposed the proposal, warning it would reduce yield attractiveness and drive institutional investors and DeFi capital away. Lido DAO's token (LDO) is down 15.9% on the day.
