European gas tops €97 per MWh, highest since 2022, up 3.5% on winter supply and Middle East worries

European gas prices pushed above €97 per megawatt-hour for the first time since 2022, up as much as 3.5% on worries over winter supply and the Middle East conflict. Dutch TTF futures closed at €93.85 on Friday and have more than tripled from January's low of €27.40.
