Hedge funds log widest daily drawdown since Covid amid stock rout, Goldman says

Global hedge funds suffered one of their broadest daily declines since the Covid pandemic following Thursday's stock market selloff, according to Goldman Sachs data reported by Bloomberg. Goldman's prime brokerage estimated systematic or trend-following funds lost 1.2%, fundamental strategies declined 1.1%, and multi-strategy funds slumped 1.4% on October 22 — the first time since 2020 all three categories fell more than 1% on the same day.
