Idorsia to advance daridorexant development for autism spectrum disorder

Idorsia announced plans to advance a development program for daridorexant, the active ingredient in its insomnia drug QUVIVIQ, for the treatment of autism spectrum disorder. The decision follows a Phase II study where participants with ASD or autism-like features showed unexpected improvements in mood, behavior, cognition, and daily activities. Further details are expected in the first half of 2027.
