Kuwait summons Iran's ambassador over embassy statement denying citizen's role in assassination plot

Kuwait has called in Iran's ambassador and handed him a formal protest over a statement from Iran's embassy that denied an Iranian citizen took part in an assassination plot in Kuwait, which Kuwait said interfered in its internal affairs and undermined the independence of its judiciary, the foreign ministry said.
