Marcos vows to use 'all available means' to defend peso, bring down food prices

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed to use all available means to defend the Philippine peso after it fell to a record low of ₱64.17 against the US dollar, and to bring down food prices. Marcos attributed the peso's continued slide partly to rising oil and fuel prices, urged the public not to panic, and said the government will do all it can to prevent the peso from falling further.
