Microsoft reportedly winding down Oracle AI cloud deal over older Nvidia chips

Microsoft is reportedly winding down its deal to rent AI cloud capacity from Oracle, according to Bloomberg News. Microsoft chose not to renew the 2023 agreement because the capacity ran on older-generation Nvidia chips that no longer met its specifications, and has been gradually shutting it down in recent months as it builds out its own AI infrastructure.
