Physical Brent spot price jumped $20.69 to $135.51 on Oct 2, biggest one-day dollar rise on record, EIA data shows

On 2nd October the EIA's spot price for physical Brent jumped $20.69 to $135.51 a barrel, the biggest one-day dollar rise in its daily record dating to 1987. The same day December Brent futures fell 6 cents, and by 20th October physical Brent held a lead over those futures.
