Qatar PM and US Secretary of State discuss de-escalation and reopening Strait of Hormuz

Qatar's PM and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed diplomatic efforts to reduce escalation in a phone call, Qatar's Foreign Ministry said. Qatar says efforts are ongoing to de-escalate tensions and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with mediator Ibrahim Bin-Sultan Al Hashmi saying a military solution is not possible.
