Retatrutide beats Ozempic on A1C reduction and weight loss in Phase 3 TRANSCEND-T2D-2 diabetes trial

Eli Lilly reported Phase 3 TRANSCEND-T2D-2 results showing retatrutide achieved greater A1C reduction and weight loss than Ozempic in adults with type 2 diabetes. Retatrutide lowered A1C by 2.2% vs 1.8% for Ozempic 2 mg at 80 weeks, with weight loss of 44-47 lbs (20-21%) vs 21 lbs (9%).
