SpaceX's Musk, CFO say new compute deployments generate payback in less than a year, pricing above $50 per watt

On the Q3 2026 earnings call, Elon Musk and CFO Bret Johnsen said new compute deployments are generating a payback of less than a year at current pricing, with pricing above $50 per watt. Musk said SpaceX could rent out its compute several times over and does not expect a demand issue. Johnsen added that excluding Cursor, SI solutions and infrastructure revenues grew 192% sequentially.
