Taiwan competition authority blocks Grab's $600M takeover of foodpanda Taiwan, citing Uber stake

Taiwan's Fair Trade Commission has declined to approve the sale of Delivery Hero's foodpanda business in Taiwan to Grab, blocking the $600 million takeover. The TFTC said Uber's ~13% stake in Grab could weaken competition with Uber Eats and that the remedies offered fell short. It is the second blocked foodpanda Taiwan sale in two years.
