UKMTO reports tanker struck by unknown projectile east of Khasab, Oman, in Strait of Hormuz; crew safe

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) received a time-late report of an incident in the Strait of Hormuz. The Company Security Officer of an outbound tanker reported the vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting, causing an explosion at the waterline on the port side. The crew are safe and accounted for, and the tanker remains under its own power.
