US military disables cargo ship trying to break Iran port blockade, CENTCOM says
US Central Command says its forces struck and disabled the St. Kitts-flagged cargo ship M/V Huda in the Gulf of Oman on Nov. 7 as it tried to break Washington's blockade of Iranian ports, after the civilian crew repeatedly ignored warnings and attempted to leave the region. A US military aircraft fired precision munitions at the vessel's stern; it is the first vessel struck by the US over Iranian links.
