Vance wrote to Iran's top security official proposing peace talks, offered to meet him

Vice President Vance wrote to Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, proposing renewed peace talks he would lead, The New York Times reported. The Washington Post reports Vance offered to meet Rezaei personally to discuss a negotiated settlement. Iran's state media Tasnim confirms it received the letter but has not yet responded.
