X-Energy completes NRC safety review for Xe-100 reactor

X-Energy announced the NRC's Final Safety Evaluation Report confirms its Xe-100 high-temperature gas-cooled reactor meets the safety basis to begin construction under 10 CFR Part 50 for the Long Mott Generating Station, developed with Dow. The Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards supports issuance of a construction permit.
