Australia August trade surplus shrinks to A$495M, far below A$2B forecast

Australia's August trade balance came in at A$495M, well short of the A$2,000M estimate and down from a revised A$1,351M prior (previously A$1,923M). Exports rose 3.7% m/m while imports jumped 5.8% m/m.
