AWS agrees to acquire DuckLabs, the company behind DuckDB
Amazon's AWS has agreed to acquire Amsterdam-based DuckLabs, the company that employs DuckDB's core developers and maintains DuckDB, DuckLake and the Quack protocol. DuckDB will remain open source under the MIT license governed by the nonprofit DuckDB Foundation, with the deal expected to take effect in early September.
