Circle and Tether blacklist Bitget exploiter address, freezing ~$318K, as Bitget's confirmed loss hits $387.5M

Circle and Tether blacklisted the "Bitget Exploiter 8" address, freezing 218,023 USDT and 99,990 USDC (~$318K), per CoinDesk. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the incident is contained, with the confirmed loss now $387.5M, up from $351.6M, after more stolen assets were found on Zcash and TRON; only a hot wallet was compromised. Bitget will announce its withdrawal resumption plan by Sept. 26 and has launched a 5% Recovery Bounty Program.
