BoE's Ramsden: no further QE any time soon, inflation risks tilted to the upside

Bank of England Deputy Governor Dave Ramsden said he does not foresee the MPC considering further quantitative easing any time soon, and that risks to the inflation outlook have tilted more to the upside. He said he is watching external pressures from energy prices, weather and supply chains, plus domestic indirect effects in food prices and early signs of second-round effects, and that a case for raising Bank Rate could emerge if upside pressures keep building.
