BOJ raises policy rate 25bp to 1.25%, highest since 1993
The Bank of Japan raised its policy rate by 25 basis points to 1.25% in a 7-2 vote, the highest level since 1993. The BOJ said the economy is recovering moderately and underlying inflation is approaching its 2% target, and signalled further hikes if its outlook holds.
