Bolivia moves toward extending state of exception as students defy it and block Cochabamba–Santa Cruz route
Bolivia's government is moving to extend the state of exception (state of siege), with President Paz justifying the intention to broaden the emergency measure, and Manfred backing the extension. Students of Unibol Quechua again defied the state of exception and blocked the Cochabamba–Santa Cruz route, while the CSUTCB rejected the extension and warned it "will not stop" its demands, and Juan del Granado said he sees no reasons to extend it.
