Brent crude surges above $107 at Sunday reopen after Saudi pipeline shutdown
Brent crude jumped more than 3% to about $107.50 at the Sunday reopen, with WTI opening near $103, after Saudi Arabia shut a major oil pipeline (the East-West pipeline) following a drone strike. The shutdown, already known to the market on Friday, combined with postponed Hormuz shipping talks to stoke global oil supply worries.
