Chainalysis attributes $387 million Bitget hack to North Korea-linked actors; exchange froze $1.1 million, CEO tells CNBC recovery unlikely

Chainalysis has attributed the roughly $387 million Bitget hack, which hit assets across 11 blockchains, to actors linked to North Korea (DPRK), after tracing how the stolen assets moved within three hours of the attack. Bitget has frozen about $1.1 million of the funds, though the CEO told CNBC the exchange does not expect to recover much. Bitget says its protection fund, which absorbed the breach, is back above $300 million.
