China Coast Guard vessel rams Philippine fisheries boat off Palawan, PCG says; Beijing rejects account

A China Coast Guard vessel rammed the Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources boat BRP Datu Magat Salamat about 100 km off Palawan on Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard said. The PCG said CCG-21585 cut across the BFAR vessel's stern around 11:04 a.m. during a fuel resupply run for Filipino fishermen; no one was hurt. Beijing rejects that account, saying the Philippine boat cut across its bow.
