Cipher Digital secures updated grid designations across six sites totaling 3.2 GW

Cipher Digital Inc. said it concluded follow-up discussions with transmission service providers and secured updated grid designations across six development sites totaling 3.2 gigawatts, including Conditional Base Load designations for Stingray (100 MW) and Colchis (1 GW). Shares rose more than 15% after the update. The company is also joining Google-backed Fluidstack and Anthropic in a $10 million West Texas water infrastructure investment, while its Barber Lake site uses its own water supply.
