Comelec takes control of Cotabato City and Maluso, Basilan after election violence

The Commission on Elections placed Cotabato City and Maluso town in Basilan under its control on Monday, September 14, after violence near polling centers in Cotabato City killed three people and wounded 15. Comelec also moved to replace ballots intended for Maluso as voters began electing the Bangsamoro Parliament.
