EU gas transmission operators warn of 12-15% winter gas shortfall in severe cold snap

Europe could face a gas shortfall of 12% to 15% of demand this winter if a severe cold snap occurs, according to a report by the EU's gas transmission operators. Politico reports the shortfall would amount to a gap of 14 billion cubic metres of gas, enough to cover 12 million households.
