EU declines to release oil beyond March volumes, will act only after agency assessment, Bloomberg reports

The European Union has refused to release oil beyond the volumes agreed in March, according to Bloomberg. EU countries agreed any release of oil stocks should be done under the IEA's March stock release action, and will release fresh stocks only after a top agency assessment. An EU Commission spokesperson confirmed the agreement.
