EU's von der Leyen proposes Kids Act banning social media under 13 and personal accounts under 15 without parental supervision

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the Commission is proposing the Kids Act, taking a gradual and differentiated approach: no social media under the age of 13, and no personal account under the age of 15, with accounts for 13- to 15-year-olds allowed only if set up and supervised by parents.
