The Fed raised rates 25 basis points to a 3.75%-4.00% range, its first hike since 2023. Chair Kevin Warsh said he does not have to raise rates because the market is already pushing bond yields higher, adding he struggles to call financial conditions restrictive and that inflation remains too high and has not moved toward 2% on a timely basis.
