Five EU states agree to oppose US demand to release 120 million barrels of diesel, Politico reports

Five European countries have agreed to oppose the US demand that the bloc release 120 million barrels of diesel over 180 days, with Washington warning of a US export ban if it refuses, Politico reports. EU Energy Commissioner Jorgensen said the bloc is discussing a release with all IEA members, not only the US, as an EU energy union task force meets Friday.
