FlyDubai co-pilot attacked pilot with crash axe; passengers subdued him, off-duty pilots landed plane

FlyDubai Capt. Smit Machchhar says his co-pilot asked to pray, then hit him with a cockpit crash axe; passengers stormed the cockpit and off-duty pilots landed the plane safely. A senior Emirati official says the co-pilot planned a 9/11-style crash into Tel Aviv's Azrieli Towers. Welt reports he allegedly called off an earlier attack because a friend was aboard and now faces the death penalty.
