Flydubai co-pilot who stabbed captain midair was previously barred from flying in Oman over radical views, WSJ reports

The Flydubai co-pilot accused of stabbing his captain and sending Flight 1073 into a steep dive had previously been barred from flying in Oman over concerns about radical ideological views, and was later hired by Flydubai despite the ban, the WSJ reports. The captain says he fought off the attack; the suspected attacker has been returned to the UAE.
