French school protests spread to ~356 schools and Belgian city of Liège; nearly 2,000 detained, dozens injured

Protests over school conditions and funding that began Tuesday have spread to roughly 356 schools, with university students joining high schoolers, violent incidents in several French cities and the unrest reaching the Belgian city of Liège, Education Minister Edouard Geffray said.
