Google issues $5.5B bond as part of AI infrastructure debt wave
Google issued a $5.5 billion bond, part of a wave of AI infrastructure-related debt issuance that also includes Microsoft's $20 billion and Broadcom reportedly in talks for $60 billion. Market commentary notes the supply is being absorbed relatively well compared to Amazon's $25 billion issuance in July.

HY is actually v resilient lately, although IG widen a little on supply $MSFT 20b, $GOOG A$5.5b and $AVGO in talk for 60b(AI printed 218b in July & Aug alone VS 80b 2025 total), but market is taking the supply pretty well, smaller impact vs $AMZN 25b back in July @BabybusFL https://t.co/ZgnIZ9pELb

It's the same thing with AVGO. They announced a bond issuance to cover AI infrastructure. The market hates debt that hasn't turned a profit and by definition, it takes time to turn a profit so GOOG's gonna chill in this tranche for at least one more quarter. Likely more.
