Huawei and other Chinese AI chipmakers raise accelerator prices amid HBM shortages

Huawei has reportedly raised the price of its Ascend 950DT AI accelerator by about 60% to roughly $37,300, with HBM shortages adding to costs and demand for Chinese alternatives to Nvidia surging. Reuters, citing three sources, reported that Chinese chipmakers including Huawei, Cambricon, MetaX and Iluvatar CoreX have raised prices on current and future AI chips, with some hikes reaching up to 50%.
