Hurricane Polo nears Baja California Sur; 23 evacuated in Comondú as breached levee floods Puerto San Carlos

Hurricane Polo is bearing down on Baja California Sur, threatening damaging winds, heavy rain and flash flooding, according to Bloomberg. At least 23 people have been evacuated from the municipality of Comondú, per NMás, and in Puerto San Carlos a containment levee has broken, flooding streets with families climbing onto rooftops hours before landfall.
