ICBA sues OCC under Administrative Procedure Act, asks court to block trust charters for crypto firms

The Independent Community Bankers of America filed an Administrative Procedure Act lawsuit asking a federal court to block the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency from granting national trust bank charters to crypto companies, accusing the agency of overstepping its authority. The OCC has approved 21 trust charters, 13 of them for crypto firms, Reuters reports.
