Iran has stepped up attacks on tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz, with Reuters reporting attacks hit their highest weekly level since the U.S.-Iran war began on February 28. At least 12 attacks on oil, LNG and LPG tankers were recorded between September 28 and October 5, threatening a fragile rebound of Persian Gulf crude exports.
