Iran's economy squeezed by US sanctions and oil blockade as crude exports plunge

Three senior Iranian sources told Reuters that Tehran is finding it increasingly difficult to withstand the US campaign to throttle its economy, which blockades Iranian oil exports and cracks down on sanctions evasion. Crude exports have plunged to around 260,000 bpd and the rial has fallen past 2.2 million per dollar as inflation nears 70%.
